Just a comment: you forgot to include deadlines. I'd love to participate, but here's hoping these won't have deadlines within 24 hours of the contest starting.

Umm, umm.... a photo with your pet? A screenie of the most heroic deed, complete with heroic posing and heroic background?

but the unofficial deadline would proly be 8-12 days time..but if you think thats too long/short..please advise.

I think having at least a week to take shots is good. Getting guildies together for screenshots might take a while, and sometimes getting good shots requires several trips to whatever location you've picked. It also depends on how much attention you want for this competition. If you want more people to participate, a lenght of at least two weeks would be good (gives people time to notice the thread and get shots). A week is ok too, although it will pretty much let only the fastest enter. I'd say 12 days is probably the best, it's something between those two times.

Or then you could just give a rough deadline for now, and then extend it if it looks like there are not enough competitors.
